Membership Categories:

A Registered Interior Designer Member is one who:
  • ​(a)  is a Registered (or Retired) Member of a Provincial Regulatory Association (IDIBC) in good standing with that Association; and
  • (b)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees, dues and assessments prescribed by the Society.
  • Registration Fee: CA$30 

An Interior Designer Member is one who:
  • (a)  has passed the NCIDQ examination; and
  • (b)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees, dues and assessments prescribed by the Society.
  • Registration Fee: CA$30
 
An Intern Member is one who:
  • (a)  has not yet completed all aspects of the NCIDQ examination;
  • (b)  is actively involved in the profession of interior design;
  • (c)  is an Intern Member of a Provincial Regulatory Association (IDIBC) and is in good standing with that Association; and
  • (d)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees and other fees prescribed by the Society.​
  • Registration Fee: CA$30 
A Student Member is one who:
  • (a)  is enrolled in a post-secondary interior design program;
  • (b)  is a Student Member of a Provincial Regulatory Association (IDIBC) and is in good standing with that Association; and
  • (c)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees and other fees prescribed by the Society.​
  • Registration Fee: CA$10 
 
A General Member is one who:
  • (a)  is associated with the practice of interior design;
  • (b)  is not employed as a manufacturer’s representative; and
  • (c)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees and other fees prescribed by the Society.
  • Registration Fee: CA$30 
 
An Industry Member is one who:
  • (a)  is not employed as an interior designer and is employed as a supplier/manufacturer representative; and
  • (b)  is in good standing with respect to the payment of membership fees and other fees prescribed by the Society.
  • Registration Fee: CA$100

​Please note that our membership term is from January to December of a calendar year.  There are no prorated fees. 
​In December of each calendar year we send out a reminder to members via email, on Instagram as well as a reminder to register on the VISID website calendar of events.

• Ensure all requested attachments are submitted at the same time.  
• Your completed registration request will be reviewed by the board.
• Once reviewed and approved, you will be forwarded a request for payment.
• Upon receipt of payment your membership will be confirmed.
